I like that you can wall mount this.
Has rudimentary functions.
It says it's a Laser and LED... It's ONLY LED... No laser.
Also, the remote supposedly allows you to control the speed of the disco ball effect, etc. So far, I have yet to see that actually do anything.
It has 3 basic patterns that can be altered ever so slightly.
For quick and dirty lighting fun, this is a cool gadget. If you want/need something more robust and configurable - spend the extra money and buy a real Laser Light system.
It is great, especially for the upcoming birthdays that are happening and it gives you different kinds of ideas to do and keeps the kids on their toes as adults. It just depends on what you want to use them for. The hookup was easy and the setup and the different variations of what you get with the sound as well as the laser and strobe lights. It's amazing. Now for the things that don't make this a pick for adults to use (as this is marketed for).
There is only 3 colors for the light patterns and the patterns seem cheesy (in my opinion at least). The "strobe light" doesn't flash fast enough nor strong enough to actually have the effect it's supposed to. All it you end up with is a flashing light that flashes just bright enough to be annoying when you're near it. The speed controls for speeding it up or slowing it down, do not work either. If you want an actual strobe effect, you'll need a dedicated strobe light. The music mode works but only picks up the loudest notes only so some songs aren't going to sync with the lights as good as others ( I didn't expect more than this since it's a $35 product after all).
Overall, I think it's neat for kids to have fun with but I wouldn't use it for any kind of adult party.
