Set up pretty straight forward, you just plug in the power to the unit and it powers up automatically. I would of liked a power button of some type on the unit itself, so far the only power off button I see is from the remote.
Remote works fine, I tried all the modes and it seems to be working, with the exception of the green laser, it doesn’t appear to be working at all. Pressing “Pattern G” doesn’t do anything. The “LED G” works fine, so I’m not sure if this unit in particular can’t do green lasers or I’m doing something wrong.
Overall, it’s a pretty cool product, just wish the green laser worked too.
The lights are great and it is relatively quiet compared to other similar-sized light sets. It stays quite cool while my other sets tend to get very hot.
The brightness is good and the patterns overlap really nicely. I like the included modes and it responds really well to various types of music and sound.
I do believe you need a DMX controller and you will really make this light set shine. I do not have one yet, but I'm looking forward to being able to control each light and eye individually to get the most out of these.
The remote works good from 20 ft. or less. Which is good to have this setup away from your Dj booth and still able to adjust it to the mood.
Overall, it's a little box with some fun features. But you would need to have 2 of these to really power the room and sync them. Kind of hoped for more for $100 price tag.
The unit gives u alot of effects/ patterns, it's kinda simple ones, but it does the Job well and adds to your existing lights.
U can mix and match which patterns you like with some different colors as they strobe along with your patterns, or not if you choose not to use the strobe lighting effect..
The remote needs to be close to item in order for it to work its best..
Overall I am pleased with the item and remember ur getting what u pay for...
U want more, then u have to pay more too.
For the price it's good and works good for me...
The stage/party light has 5 sets of 3 LED lights, 3 sets are horizontal and 2 are vertical and the horizontal and vertical sets can work together or independently of each other when generating colors. There are also 3 sets of 2 RGB laser lights. Set 1 is Red & Blue, set 2 is Blue & Green and set 3 is Green & Red. Each RGB laser color has built-in patterns that are generated. Red produces a bar of rotating and random red dots, and green and blue produce dots and a multitude of various geometric patterns. The remote allows control over many of the functions. "Auto" will utilize both the LED and laser lights and cycle between various colors and patterns. You can also use just the laser lights or just the LED lights. There is also an ultraviolet (UV) / black-light setting, a motor start/stop setting, a motor fast/slow setting, a flash / strobe-light setting, and a built-in microphone to allow the lights to "dance" to the music.
It also incorporates DMX in/out which provides the ability to link with a master controller and other DMX devices. So professional capabilities, yet very straightforward and easy to use right out of the box. If you're looking for a quick way to light up and energize your next party, this unit has plenty of bang for the buck.
It has a lot of different effects for the price point. I have similar lights that have cost similar or more that have way less effects included.
The lasers are great for a large area, but the green laser is a little bit grainy compared to the other colors. There are a lot of extra little dots around the actual image that it's displaying. The LEDs are decent for a smaller area but don't work well to light up a crowd.
The blacklights are kind of pointless, because they aren't visible through the lasers and LEDs. You can make it only display the blacklights, but they aren't bright enough to really create a blacklit room effect unless you're within ten feet of the light.
The remote control works, but the range seems to be a little short compared to others. It's best to be within 5-10 feet of the light when using.
The light itself is solidly built, with a very large fan.
This is a great party light for a small event in a social hall type setting. It's definitely worth the money.
The lasers are bright with very nice colors but the LEDs are a bit underpowered. The lasers can easily handle large rooms but the LEDs were dim even in a 13x14 ft room with light colored walls. If the LEDs are an important feature for you this might be a problem. They were noticeable even in a large room but were very dim compared to the lasers and could barely light up a large room.
The unit is very quiet, the quietest DMX light I've ever used by a long shot. Super low volume levels won't be a problem but most people will probably be blasting their music anyway.
The remote isn't anything special but works well and has plenty of features. The remote has to face the front of the unit though. The metal construction seems to block the remotes signal from the back (at least it did for me). I wish thw remote used AA or AAA batteries though because button and coin cells are a pain to find. This won't be a problem if you are using a DMX controller though.
So far it seems pretty good except for the LEDs which, although noticeable, are a bit on the dim side. This unit uses a standard, replaceable figure of eight power cord to which is a huge plus. The small size is a bonus as well. If you want a small and bright laser light, this is something to consider. On the other hand if flashing LEDs are important to you, this light probably isn't the best fit.
I’m still learning everything about it so I’ll post more as I figure everything out.
