I like that this unit is USB powered and can stay on standby and switched on and off remotely. It’s a nice addition to a home karaoke set up as it reacts to sound and can be controller with an IR remote to cycle through the animations. It’s bright enough for a small room but will get washed out with a normal home lightbulb on. I like that it has laser patterns and an RGB strobe in the same box. Unless you already have a DMX set up and spend hundreds on lights, you won’t be disappointed. I like using this box for small set ups in compact places

Look, this is straightforward lighting for a small party or hangout room. However, I think it does an excellent job of giving some simple lighting effects for a small space. the laser images move smoothly and have variable speed. The strobe in white light is okay, and the disco ball effects are pretty hazy, but do give the effect.

Price might be a little on the high side, but i have seen this product already offered with instant coupon savings, so $35.00 is probably the sweet spot.

Overall, this is a pretty impressive light show box, but with a few faults that slightly downgrade the whole package.

To begin with, the this unit has two LASERS - a red and a green. That's not in the title of the description, and there are no stickers or warning notes on the unit or in the skimpy directions.. Using this at a dance could cause eye damage if pointed into the crowd.

The box is USB powered, but has an uncommon connection on the back of the unit - a 3mm OD barrel connector. If you lose the special cable, you're dead in the water. The product description says that a 10' long cable is included. The cable included in my kit was only 6' long. A USB wall wart is included in the box. Also on the back of the unit is a simple on/off switch which overrides the remote control.

Once switched on, there is a "mode" button on the front of the unit that allows you to click between several light modes, which are not listed anywhere. These are the modes:

1. Colored lights and lasers
2. Colored lights and lasers plus strobe light
3. Sound activated colored lights and lasers
4. Sound activated lasers only
5. Laser show only (both red and green)
6. Red laser show only
7. Green laser show only
8. Colored light show only
9. Flashing white strobe only
10. Sound activated colored lights only
11. Red colored light show only
12. Green colored light show only
13. Blue colored light show only
14. Off.

The remote probably has a way to jump to each of the above features quickly, but I didn't have the patience to test them out. You can also adjust the speed of the white strobe lights via remote, BUT, the fastest setting is still not fast enough to give that stop-motion effect that strobes are used for.

There is a basic swivel bracket that can be used below or above the unit. I have used it as a "projector" angle stand, to point the light show upwards while sitting on the top of an audio stack. There is no other mounting hardware included in the kit.

Overall, do I like the unit? YES, A LOT. It projects out A LOT of light, and is compact and quiet. I will get a lot of use out of it. However, just a few adjustments in the features would have made it a five start performer. Four solid stars from me.

Okay, so right off the bat - this is not a professional disco ball or laser light show, you won't be lighting up an entire dance floor with it - but I think most people realize that going into it. I think for the size and the options you have with it, it will be perfect for any household use without breaking the bank.

The product comes with the unit itself, remote control and a standard USB power supply. There are a ton of patterns and colors to choose from and the RC controller is laid out well which allows you to toggle through all of them. The various lenses reflect and refract the lasers and lights all of the room which looks great when you have the unit reacting to the music being played, it really does add a great ambience.

I think this light would be a great addition to various parties around the house - it does come with a bracket that will allow you to mount it in a variety of locations. I would definitely take the opportunity to review this product again, for the current price point and if this is something you are looking for - I think you would absolutely be comfortable making the purchase.

5 Stars = Knocks it out of the park, PERFECT BUY!
